Taste of Chicago and The Magnificant Mile on Michigan Avenue

I just got back from a trip to Illinois visiting my brother. I had a really good time! We had a chance to partake in the food festival known as theTaste of Chicago! We also shopped along the Magnificent Mile... The buildings and gardens along Michigan Ave were beautiful. Unfortunately we were unable to visit Harpo Studios and Garrett Popcorn shop :( But next time for sure!

Ann Taylor Loft Strappy Denim Maxi Dress

I really was not a fan of the maxi dress because I figured I was too short for them. However when I saw this one in Loft I thought I really love this dress! The price of course is alittle too much for me right now. So I will just have to keep watching it until it goes on sale or treat myself after I complete my challenge of losing 5lbs before the 17th of this month or go to the gym 15 times this month (after 15 visits ea. month my job reimburses me my full payment for that month).
Shoes...
I saw these in the July issue of Lucky and thought how cute... but because I only wear solid color shoes usually in black or brown I have no idea how I would wear these. I like the pair in the middle which is really out of the box for me.

Summer Scarves

I have really fallen for the summer scarf trend. However I have had the hardest time finding a scarf that I really like. I don't know if it is because I live in the south and my conscience is telling me it is too hot for that look down here right now... however even though I don't wear them often even during the winter months I have always been a fan of scarves and own several and believe that is why I have fallen for the summer scarf trend. I want one that's lightweight and a great color for summer... just that right splash of color for me... a person who's always been afraid of color and still learning how to add it to my outfit.

My recent purchases...

I decided to use my coupon and get both the legacy ring and bangle! I wasn't crazy about the scarf when I saw it in person. Because I could not decide between the ring or bangle my sister talked me into getting them both :)

Legacy bangle regular price $78 and Legacy ring regular $68 total $156.22 after coupon total $117.17... not too bad!!!

I got my package from QVC yesterday. I first saw it here at Kimberly's blog. She has the silver tone which was wait listed but I have been wanting a gold tone necklace and decided to go on and get it in the gold tone and I love it!

Here I am trying on my High Polished Bead 18" Necklace... it also came with earrings. I don't usually wear big earrings but maybe once I try them on I'll change my mind.

Coach Again...

I received a coupon in the mail from Coach! I have been eyeing a bangle, ring and scarf for some time now. I have been thinking oh what a wonderful Mother's day gift these items would be. However it does not seem reasonable to get all three items(the coupon is only for 25% off) but I do plan to get one of them.

Hello There!

I hesitated getting this jacket because I figured it might be too dressy or holiday-ish. Due to office dress code slacks must be worn with with a jacket or blazer. So I brought it. It was on clearance at Wally World. I also brought one in black.
